-
Plants are our best teachers. We observe how they behave, adapt, and coexist, letting those patterns guide the form and function of every landscape we create.
-
Care shows up in the small things. We design with intention, follow through on craft, and believe that doing it right the first time leads to gardens that feel effortless later.
-
Landscapes flourish through connection, and so do we. We surround ourselves with talented, thoughtful people and treat each project as a shared pursuit — creative, joyful, and grounded in mutual respect.
BENJAMIN HEIM
With Benjamin, even an ordinary neighborhood walk can turn into a scented-plant tour that might just blow your mind. From the quiet genius of plant communities and the complexity of living ecosystems, nature’s diversity drives his vision.
His relationship with plants began early, growing up at his family’s nursery in the Pacific Northwest, which fostered a curiosity and deep respect for the natural world. Over the years, that connection has grown into a design practice shaped by experiences across residential landscape construction, working farms, tropical conservatories, event installations, and community gardens.
Benjamin holds a degree in Landscape Architecture from UC Berkeley, a foundation that informs both the rigor and imagination of his work. With a background that spans horticulture, landscape design, and the visual and performing arts, he brings technical precision and creative intuition to every project. His process is guided by careful observation of the natural environment and an appreciation of how we occupy space.
